This past week my production of A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Nhath ran at Hanover College! What an exciting adventure this production was for both the students, designers, and yes, even the audience! I forgot how challenging working in the round was, but the students were so successful in working in this new setup!
It was originally scheduled to open in the middle of February - tonight, to be exact - but we moved the production up a week so that we could invite our college board of trustees to a performance while they were in town. What an honor it was for our students to perform for this important group. I think they made a great impression for the board and I couldn't be prouder.
Now that the production is closed, my directing work for this semester is finished! I'm hard at work developing a new course I'm teaching during our "May-term" called, The World of Walt: Disney and the Arts, as well as my summer directing and performing projects. And of course, I've got the second half of this current semester to teach yet!
Enjoy a few pictures from the production of A Doll's House, Part 2 by Ken Prince! The costumes are by Leigh Anne Crandall and the set and lights are designed by Christian Bowyer.
